Don't miss Open House and the Absegami vs. Oakcrest football game!!
It is with a very sad heart that I have to let you know, Duke passed away this past weekend. Duke touched many lives here at Absegami from the teachers, staff and students. He was always so happy coming to work to see all of his Gami family. Part of his day had to include a walk around the building to beg pets from all and get treats from culinary or snack shack. Duke had an incredible way to pick up on how others were feeling without ever needing words. He could just sense if you needed comfort or just a furry friend. It’s amazing how strong of a language you can have without ever needing to speak words. If we could take one thing from our time with Duke at Gami, I would hope that it would be to be kind to each other, to hear the words that others may not be speaking and to help each other within our Brave family and beyond. - Candace Ochs
