Thirteen Interactors and Mr. Friend worked with Multiple Sclerosis Society Event Coordinator Nicole Lewis to set up, run, and break down another successful Ocean City Walk MS on Sunday, May 7. Organizers said the event brought in over 400 walkers and $70,000.


Each year, Absegami selects a Dr. Dennis Foreman Novice Teacher of the year for his or her contributions to our high school within their first 3 years of teaching experience. This year, we recognize Mr. Drew Roesch from our Guidance Department as our Novice Teacher of the Year!


Yesterday, students of all grade levels visited Universal Technical Institute to tour the campus. The tour ranged from seeing auto and diesel mechanics, A dyno run with a Mustang, The BMW lab, The welding lab, and information on the new robotics and automation program. It was a great day to learn about the programs UTI has to offer!




Mrs. Keeley's Sculpture 1 classes are creating Amphora Vases inspired by Greek culture and pottery techniques. The next step is to add Myths with glazes and carvings to the outside of the pottery.

Amazing job to our music department and Tri-M for hosting the second annual Galloway Arts Festival this past Saturday in Smithville. The day was full of performances, and visitors got to check out visual art from Absegami students as well!

On Thursday, May 4, Absegami held a "MedTalk" with AtlantiCare President and CEO Lori Herndon to discuss the vast opportunities within the AtlantiCare organization. Special thanks to Crystal Masterson, Nicole Storr, and Christian Ragland for organizing and hosting the event!

Congratulations to Absegami Director of Bands, Patrick O’Keefe for recieving the New Jersey Governor’s Award in Arts Education for Leadership in Music Education. On June 2nd, Mr. O’Keefe will recieve his award alongside other leaders and students in the areas of creative writing, speech, dance, music, theater and visual arts.


Don't miss the Galloway Arts Festival, this Saturday throughout the Historic Smithville Shops from 12:00 - 5:00! There will be performances through out the afternoon from our music department and art displays from our student artists!


Congratulations and great job to Colin Morrissey on a second place finish at the Ocean City Pops Student Solo Competition last night at the OC Music Pier! This is the third consecutive year Absegami has had a finalist named!
