OHS Falcons enrolled in Studio Art & Design are currently celebrating Inktober, a 31-day challenge during the month of October that asks student artists to create small ink drawings based on daily word prompts. These featured pieces, created by 9th grader Ava MacLaughlan, demonstrate the ways in which the worldwide endeavor fosters creativity, improved drawing and inking skills, and stick-to-itiveness! ✒️🎨👩🎨

Shout out to the Oakcrest Science Club, who last week volunteered to make the Nest a more beautiful place! Several students and their advisor, Ms. Susan Brownhill, spent their afternoon picking up litter around campus. 👏👏👏

Spooky Season is upon us, and several OHS organizations were out in force this weekend volunteering at the Hamilton Township PTA's Trunk or Treat event. Members of the NHS, Field Hockey and Girls Soccer teams, and the GEHR Education Association gave out thousands of pieces of candy to local kids AND had a great time donning their costumes, decorating their trunks, and interacting with the community! 🎃🍫💙

Oakcrest's Math Club was back at it this week, making 155 sandwiches to donate to area residents struggling with food insecurity. Thanks to all the participating students and staff for giving back to the community! 🍇🍞🥜
