Mr. Vogel joined Absegami High School as the Supervisor of Science in 2011.  Originally from Bergen County, Mr. Vogel attended Dumont High School where he discovered his love for math and science.  He went on to earn a Bachelors of Science in Biology Secondary Education from The College of New Jersey and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University.  In addition, Mr. Vogel continued his education beyond earning his masters by taking graduate level mathematics courses at New Jersey City University.

Mr. Vogel decided to become an educator because he loves working with children.  When Mr. Vogel entered the teaching profession he knew that he would be a career educator.  Mr. Vogel has taught science in Ramsey and Cresskill, which are both located in Northern Bergen County.  For the past two years, he has been a crossover teacher, teaching science to middle school students and biology to high school students.

Obviously, Mr. Vogel is passionate about science.  However, he has several other passions.  He has a love for the outdoors, which explains why two of his favorite activities are hiking and camping.  In addition, he enjoys bowling and traveling.  In fact, this past summer Mr. Vogel spent three weeks in Italy and Greece.

Mr. Vogel is very excited about the 2011-2012 school year, and he is proud to be an Absegami Brave!
